I highly recommend that anyone pursuing CISSP® certification attend Chris Schulz’ CISSP® class. I took the class and passed one of the most challenging examinations the first time. The quality of instruction and the comprehensiveness of the material saved me money and directly contributed to my success. It was important to me because my coworkers were aware that I was pursuing the certification and my company would not reimburse me unless I passed the test. Today my reputation as an Information Security professional has increased, people around me listen to my advice, ask for opinions and I have confidence because I possess the industry most coveted IA certification, CISSP®.
Chris Schulz embodies the best characteristics of an effective instructor. He has a long history in the field. His stories helped to enhance the lessons and proved that we were studying more than just theory or rote memorization. Memorization is involved in passing the test; however Chris is certified and told us what we needed to memorize to understand the concept; different than memorizing test questions. Ask him to tell you about memorizing the Bell-La Padula model. He was the first in the classroom everyday and he always had the energy to present in a positive and comprehensive manner. It was easy to discuss unique application of the curriculum. The other students in class provided another dimension of learning by discussing their experiences.
I used Chris’ class to enhance my self-study; I did devote time on my own to read the book and researched where I was week. One of the best parts was the test on the last day. I left the class knowing what my weaknesses were and I was able to focus my studies. Thank you Mr. Schulz I sincerely enjoyed your class.
