On September 1, 2011 the PMP® exam will be changing to a new format – it is estimated that up to 30% of the exam will be changing. If you have been studying for the exam but have yet to take the test it is highly recommended that you do so before the change.
To help students prepare for the exam, Off Peak Training will be holding two 1-day training and review sessions. These courses are geared towards the project manager who has already taken exam preparation training or has familiarized themselves with the PMBOK® Guide through self-study. Serious exam takers only please! Our goal is your goal – for you to feel confident in passing the PMP® exam.
- Workshop 1: PMP Study Group – $399
- This study group will feature two Off Peak Training instructors, leading students through a variety of interactive exercises. Students will work in teams to complete course workbooks, worksheets on subjects like critical path and earned value, and quizzes on each project management knowledge area. All exercises and quizzes will then be reviewed by our instructors.
July 7th 8:00am – 4:30pm – Dulles, VA – Register Now
- Workshop 2: Review with Mock Exam – $399
- This review session will feature an Off Peak Training instructor guiding students through an interactive review of the 42 project management process and project management math. Students will participate in answering questions about each process, their inputs, tools, and outputs, and ask their own questions along the way. All exercises and quizzes will then be reviewed by our instructors.
July 8th 8:00am – 4:30pm – Dulles, VA – Register Now
What do I need?
These training sessions will be BYOP (Bring your own PMBOK® Guide). We will have books available to loan or purchase from us at cost. There will be ample time for students to ask questions about their pain points, so please come to class with a list of questions you would like to have answered by the end of the day. It is recommended that students schedule the PMP® certification exam within a few days of completing the workshops.
Off Peak Training will provide:
- Off Peak Training Workbook
- In-class exercise handouts
- Lunch, coffee and snacks

Without Chris Talmont and the Off Peak Training Bootcamp training there is no way I would have been able to successfully pass the PMP certification test after 5 days of prep-time. Your structured program helped me quickly understand and quickly interconnect the many pieces of the PMBOK® manual/process – and that information stays with me today – 2 months later.
The Project Management Institute has posted errata, or correction sheets, for the Guide to the PMBOK® 4th Edition. These sheets, typically about a page or two long, list content revisions and other corrections that are necessary for consistency and accuracy in the book. These sheets are frequently posted after a first printing of a new book. These documents do not list minor typographical errors, but instead, are meant to clarify any potential questions or confusions resulting from content errors. The vast majority of the Project Management Body of Knowledge is unaffected by these documents, so if you own a first printing of A Guide to the PMBOK® 4th edition, you should not worry about replacing your book, but it may be helpful to print off the errata sheets for reference as you read through your book. If you are not sure if your copy of A Guide to the PMBOK® is a first printing, you can check the bottom of the copyright page. The last number in the string of numbers that begins “10 9 8″ etc. will tell you which printed version you have.
